How do I upload products in bulk for classification?

1. Go to the Products page and click Upload products.
2. Confirm Country of destination by selecting it from the drop-down list (or leave the pre-selected by default)
3. Select an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file from your computer by clicking Upload a file or drag and dropping it from your PC. Click Next.
4. The system will automatically identify the relevant columns in your file. You do not need to follow a specific template, but your file must include at minimum:
   - Customer name
   - Product name
   - Country of origin
   - Product description
5. Once uploaded successfully, click Go to products list,
6. Click the Group Classification button to classify all the selected products at once.
7. Select the classification mode:
   • Interactive mode: Answer AI-clustered questions to resolve data gaps. Recommended when planning final customs filings and you need the highest-confidence suggestions
   • Autonomous mode: Gaia generates classification suggestions instantly based only on existing data. Best for quick estimates or preliminary tariff lookups.
8. Confirm Country of destination by selecting it from the drop-down list (or leave the pre-selected by default). Click Start classification.

Depending on the classification mode selected, two different paths follow:

• Interactive mode:
  9. A progress bar will appear, indicating the status of the process for generating and grouping the questions related to the products being classified.
  10. Once done, one or more questions common to the products involved will be listed. Start by selecting the answer to the question at the top of the page
  11. Select the product(s) the answer provided in the previous step applies to. Select the checkbox at the top of the list of products if the answer applies to all of them
  12. Select Apply at the bottom of the screen
  13. If all products have an answer associated with each one of them, click Next at the bottom right of the screen. If not, repeat step 10 and subsequent steps until all products have an answer associated to them
  14. The next common-to-several-products question is selected. Repeat step 10 and subsequent steps
  15. Once all common-to-several-products questions have been answered, questions that apply to individual products are shown. Click Answer on each one of them to see the questions and provide respective answers, if known. You can also skip the questions if answers are unknown
  16. Click Classify at the bottom right of the screen
• Autonomous mode:
  9. The system will start classification directly all products selected without any user intervention

Finally, a progress bar will appear, indicating the status of the classification process and highlighting any warnings detected.

Notes:

• Heavily formatted spreadsheets with complex macros or non-standard structures may not parse correctly. Standard Excel or CSV exports from your systems will work in the vast majority of cases.
• Not providing answers to the questions posted in the interactive mode will affect the accuracy of the suggestions given by the system. We recommend answering all the questions you can.
